A prolonged multi-media project that started in 2000 and should have terminating premiere in 2022. The project develops over time and I have shown various development stages performans on several occasions in Iceland, Norway, the Nederland's, Belgium and the Czech Republic. The next step in this project will appear in Reykjavik in spring 2017 on the annual electronic art festival Raflost.
The work is based on rhythms in our own solar system. It's all about physics, especially related to time and theories of time. From being a sound performans, ruled by a converted wheelchair, it has grown to 8 channel audio and 3D realtime-video, directed with wireless sensors and various engineered instruments. It is composed of various interactive systems and provides a variety of diverse audiovisual representations in terms of performances and installations.
The Beauty of Dynamic causal modelling opens yet another pass for the little solar system.
Installation of an interactive audio and video journey into the human brain. Basically, an MRI scan of the brain. With the aid of scientific 3D software that focus on the thickness of masses and variable vissebilities. Results of this ongoing project have been exposed in Oslo and Reykjavik. The project has resived support from a.m.o. Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond and Atopia. It is on the table that the project will appear as installation, on the Isle of Man in 2017 or 2018.
in collaboration with video artist Farhad Kalantary. There is a proposal for research and development of new technologies for image production. Under the title Z wants the project to explore the meeting points for 3D imaging, multi-channel video installation and laser. Through the work of combining these technologies, we will explore opportunities and gain experiences that interactions gives us, and thus experiment with new forms of image production. We believe there is great potential in exploring and form a meeting place for new technologies and formats. Such new links may mark a new space for artistic practice.
International artist group called "EIG Eponymous instrument group. We make sound and video instrument and focus on the sculptural instrumental aspect for installations and performances.
We have studied and built alternative electronic instruments since the 90ths .Through a decade we have had exhibitions, held workshops and performances. f.e. Reykjavik 2016, installation at Atelier Nord in Oslo in 2014 and NIME Festival 2011.
Theory about connection between geographical environment and language. The project's starting point is not to prove the theory, but to serve as an inspiration to 3D audio / visual displays. With access to files from academic databases and research related environment creates a development and artistic interaction.
Sculpture, installation and performance instrument. It is a management instrument for 3D video and multi-channel audio. It uses flames to feel movements in the air. The project is on several occasions displayed as work in progress. The Fire Instrument has previously received grant of STEIM (Amsterdam) and Atelier Nord (Oslo). It was chosen to show at the international NIME festival "New Interfaces for Musical Expression" 2011 as interface for interactive 3D video.
An ongoing series of works, which are displayed through multi-screen projection.
Based on mathematical dimensions and the quest of ever changing personal reality and the facade of public space the first work was exposed in Norway for bypassers at Gallery Grefsenveien, Oslo in January 2016.
